The BLUE CONNECT project addresses the urgent need to protect and restore marine habitats and ecosystems and to overcome gaps in the effective implementation of EU and global legislation by mobilizing the MPA managers\, authorities\, industries and local communities to co-develop and demonstrate a systematic approach to marine conservation planning and management. \n\n\n\nInternested in learning more? SUMMARY:Nordic Seaweed Conference
DESCRIPTION:Nordic Seaweed conference wants to exchange knowledge and ambitious ideas between scientists\, existing companies and upcoming entrepreneurs. Networking is an important part of the conference. New collaborations are started\, exiting projects developed and new business partners found during the conference. \n\n\n\nDelegates come mainly from Denmark\, the Nordic countries\, Germany and Great  Britain\, but also from the rest of the world. \n\n\n\nDelegates represent mainly science\, industry and authorities. The conferenec also attracts university students and young entrepreneurs. \n\n\n\nConference registration includes: \n\n\n\n– A two-days exciting conference program including printed abstract book and conference bag– Breakfast\, lunch\, coffee\, and snacks are provided during the two-days program– Outstanding seaweed conference dinner at Kattegatcentret\, a public aquarium in Grenaa. Feel free to enjoy a walk in the big aquarium to watch the sharks\, penguins\, and a lot of fish!– As a special feature\, we will also feed the hungry sharks during the dinner. DESCRIPTION:Reaching the EU’s offshore wind and grid ambitions should be viewed as an opportunity to create a new normal where biodiversity protection and restoration is pursued side-by-side with infrastructure deployment. But how do we turn these ambitions into tangible actions? \n\n\n\nThe Renewables Grid Initiative\, WindEurope\, and the Offshore Coalition for Energy and Nature (OCEaN) will address this question at our conference ‘Strong Winds\, Thriving Seas’ and warmly invite you to join us! Throughout the day\, we’ll spotlight leading experts working on a nature- and people-positive offshore energy transition and allow participants to explore a solutions-oriented fair\, hear priorities from the next generation of European decision makers\, and pose their own policy asks. All of this will be complemented by highlights from OCEaN’s work across European sea basins. Since 2020\, OCEaN’s diverse Members – representing wind developers\, transmission system operators\, and NGOs across two Coalitions in the Mediterranean and North and Baltic Seas – have been engaged in key dialogues to advance offshore wind and nature objectives in harmony.
