The Mission Ocean Lighthouse project BlueMissionBanos kicked off in Berlin.

The Mission Ocean Lighthouse project BlueMissionBanos, coordinated by SUBMARINER and including SUBMARINER members SDU, UTartu, LIAE, and IVL, kicked off on 17-18 January in Berlin.

The project will inform Mission Ocean’s implementation in the Baltic and North Sea by organising five demonstration arenas, which will showcase blue economy innovation pilots in selected regions to identify pathways for transformation in support of Mission Ocean’s objectives. Stakeholders, policies, and projects advancing the decarbonisation of the blue economy will be mapped, and citizen engagement resources will be created to galvanise interest around Mission Ocean and its goals. Finally, BlueMissionBanos will support Mission Ocean’s Charter by motivating key Baltic and North Sea actors to endorse the charter by showcasing their activities contributing to the transition towards the carbon-neutral, circular sustainable blue economy.
