The ALLIANCE project officially started with a great kick-off meeting in Wageningen, Netherlands.
Aims of the project are to:
✅ reduce production costs of micro algae through automation and resource recycling and improving sustainability
✅ develop multi-product biorefineries for various sectors, including food, aquafeed, cellular agriculture, and agriculture
✅ boost consumer acceptance of micro algae products The project will demonstrate scalable and cost-competitive biorefinery processes using solvent-free extraction and wet biomass, integrating processes from four algae pipelines into 15 near-zero waste product lines.
Additionally, we will collaborate with diverse stakeholders and policymakers to drive market penetration and address regulatory gaps over the next 4 years, together with 19 partners.
