On 16 January 2026, SUBMARINER Network will lead Expert Panel #10: Algae: A blue solution for the global green transformation as part of the official GFFA programme. The panel will examine how macro- and microalgae can contribute to more sustainable, resilient food systems, particularly in light of climate change, land pressure and biodiversity loss. The discussion will focus on practical and scalable solutions, drawing on experience from business, research and policy contexts in Europe and globally.
In addition to the panel, SUBMARINER Network will have a shared stand at GFFA together with Bioökonomie auf Marinen Standorten e.V. (BaMS). Stop by to discuss ongoing work on algae-based solutions and the role of the blue bioeconomy in sustainable food and agriculture systems!
