The Algae Accelerator is back for its second open call. It is a six-month mentorship programme designed to help startups and SMEs in the algae sector scale up their business strategies and bring sustainable innovations to market.
From food and feed to cosmetics, materials, bioremediation and more, algae-based products have the potential to tackle some of our biggest environmental challenges. The Algae Accelerator provides tailored guidance, expert mentoring, and strategic support to help companies refine their value propositions, strengthen their market readiness, and connect with the wider blue bioeconomy network.
This initiative is part of the AlgaeProBANOS project, working to build a stronger, more connected algae industry in the Baltic and North Sea regions and to inspire new sustainable business models that benefit both people and the planet.
Applications for Open Call 2 are now open until 4 December 2025.
