BlueActionBANOS

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Empowering Sustainable Transitions for Baltic and North Sea Blue Communities

With partners in each of the Baltic and North Sea countries, BlueActionBANOS aims to provide targeted financial assistance, technical guidance, and strategic knowledge-sharing to support the scale-up and deployment of Mission Ocean solutions within the Baltic and North Sea Lighthouse Area.

Specifically, the project will support Community-Led Pilot Actions (EUR 200,000–2 million) and fund up to 20 projects to develop Transition Agendas (up to EUR 100,000 each). These projects will be accompanied by tailored Technical Assistance, leveraging the collective expertise of the consortium and drawing on best practices and advances from the Mission Ocean ecosystem.

In addition, the project will foster networking and collaboration among actors within and beyond the BANOS area, guide communities in accessing further financing opportunities, and monitor and evaluate progress to identify and share the most successful and scalable solutions for wider replication across Europe.
