About FOODIMAR
FOODIMAR is one of the 19 projects selected in the 1st Call of the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership. Launched in May 2024, the FOODIMAR team will, over the next three years, develop innovative, cost-effective, and climate-friendly methods to produce high-quality marine collagen, gelatin, and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) from fisheries and aquaculture side-streams, addressing the needs of both industry and consumers.
The consoritum is coordinated by SUBMARINER (Germany) and brings together six partners highly commited in untapping the potential of seafood side-streams: SINTEF Ocean (Norway), Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden), University of Southern Denmark (Denmark), Tetis Biotech (Türkye), and Ghent University (Belgium).

Together We Improve the Blue Environment and Economy
As part of the kick-off meeting, Angela Schultz-Zehden, managing director of the SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth, shared about the network and collaboration opportunities for FOODIMAR with the members and the projects SUBMARINER is involved.
