The event summary includes a short description of each of the activities, presentations, and events that made up the MPA Forum at the UN Ocean Decade Conference in Barcelona in April 2024 including a description of shark count, a citizen science tool used by divers to participate in the conservation of marine life, a description of SUBMARINER’s roleplaying game, in which participants had the opportunity to become an MPA manager for a day, and a summary of various side events including a session on biodiversity in future socio-ecosystems.
