While it has been emphasized repeatedly that we need more data, it’s equally important to improve our ability to share this data with others! Services like EMODnet assist organizations in this regard, but data availability remains inconsistent (EU4Algae O1.17).
Data accessibility is particularly vital when discussing ecosystems and biodiversity, as these are complex systems that often involve outdated concepts representing various data states. How can we leverage available data to describe and comprehend trends in biodiversity and ecosystem sustainability, and what specific data are we currently lacking?
