The MPA Solutions Hub is an online platform that helps MPA managers find tools suited to the challenge in front of them, whether that concerns management, governance, financing or stakeholder engagement. It gathers the tools developed in Blue4All alongside resources from other MPA projects, so users can explore available solutions in a clear, structured way rather than piecing them together from separate project websites.
How was the Hub developed?
The Hub was co-designed and tested with MPA managers and stakeholders through the Blue4All Living Labs in the Baltic Sea, the Mediterranean and the North-East Atlantic. Working this way keeps it rooted in the realities of day-to-day MPA work as well as in the science behind the tools.
Blue4All runs until December 2026, but the Hub is built to outlast it. It sits under the MPA Community Network, an umbrella initiative launched by Blue4All to connect MPA-related projects across Europe, and will keep growing with tools and contributions from other EU-funded initiatives such as PHAROS and BLUECONNECT, as well as future projects working on marine conservation and restoration.
About Blue4All
Blue4All is a Horizon Europe Mission Ocean project coordinated by the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS), with SUBMARINER Network among its partners. The project supports the EU’s aim of protecting 30% of Europe’s seas by placing stakeholders at the centre of how MPAs are designed and managed.
